Of course it's a huge yes here for me. My son was diagnosed with Autism (High functioning-Aspergers) at age 4, diagnosed at age 6 with ADHD & age 8 a diagnosis of Dyspraxia. I decided to Homeschool him from the age of 11 as he had really outgrown the school he was in. Also took him out as they were holding him back more than helping & encouraging him. He is thriving, had a few big bumps but we overcame them together. I know it can be difficult but spend as much time with them as you can. Years fly by! 👍

Yes everyone, please be present - not just physically - when you are around your children. Also, be very mindful of what and how you say things to them and around them. Children hear and mimic everything. Do not argue with them or yell at your children in the morning before school - it really makes a difference when they arrive to class. After school, don't just ask them if they had a good day in school. Also ask what they learned. Let them share what they learned in school that day and what they experienced in school. I truly had such a wonderful and very present mother - I was blessed to have her for a mother. May she continue to rest in peace.

Great, yes parents and their darn phones! I absolutely hate when I hear a child talking to a parent about their day from school or even quietly walking with the parent and that darn phone is in the parent's hand and being used!!!!!!
