1. Children Foster Home 🏡

WHY CHILDREN FOSTER HOME?
It is ideal that all children below the age of 18 still be accorded right care, protection and provision of needs and yet many children have either been abandoned by parents or chased away from home due to child torture, child neglect, poverty and effects of broken families especially during COVID-19 Pandemic. This has led to the increase of children living on streets to be within 800 to 1000 children in Iganga district taking on streets as home. This project is an important intervention in tracking down accounts of these children, provide shelter, care, protection, rehabilitation and reintegrate them back to their families so that they can enjoy their ideal life as required of the plight of children

ABOUT CHILDREN FOSTER HOME
Children at WFL children’s home come from a variety of difficult backgrounds. Many were abandoned and rejected by their parents due to poverty and some lost their parents to diseases and/or during birth. In our children’s home, they receive well rounded care that addresses their physical social, mental and spiritual needs. Modeled after a typical family environment, the home allows the children to experience all that it means to have a family.

Just to explain about the video, the children you see in the video are the children under our children foster home program, some of them we reintegrated them back with their families after having several trainings and engagements with the families.

The picture that comes after the logo, the child is called joram, he is victim of child abuse! When we got him, he was burnt and had broken leg with tuberculosis. The video shows before and after,

The second boy in the video is called Robert, we found him in a dire state after his mother abandoning him followed by the death of his father. He was left alone in a dilapidated house to die.

Your organisation is amazing. Heartbreaking to see little kids suffering. But the pictures of the with smiles, full plates of food & looking healthy, you can see them glowing 🥰 All children should have a fun loving carefree life, but I know that is not always the way. Your work can make massive differences to their lives. That's amazing 👏
